EMERSON BILL OLD PAWN NAVAJO STERLING SILVER CUFF BRACELET HUGE
Navajo silversmith Emerson Bill is very well-known throughout the southwest, and specifically, in his hometown of Santa Fe, New Mexico. His pieces are extremely popular and regularly fetch high prices. Bill, and his wife, Nora, are most known for their use of deeply-chiseled patterns and heavy gauge silver. As the deep-chisel patterns and engravings are accented by a satin finish, and the use of heavy gauge is less common in the southwest, Bill’s pieces are instantly recognizable, timeless heirlooms.
Extremely thick, heavy hand-stamped cuff weighing 116.6 grams and nearly 2 inches wide. Inside circumference is about 6 inches without the gap. The interior of the cuff is stamped STERLING and is signed “Emerson” in script. Artist used a combination of well-detailed, oxidized silver background with high-relief, satin finish design.
